In this game I love finding the dinosaur bones and turning them to real dinosaurs. Then I battle them against the computer dinosaur ( or you can battle against a friend if he/she also has the game and a connector cable). When I get to a new level I win something to train my new dinosaur and then I dig it up, train it, and battle it again. If the person gets hit by a creature attack while excavating, you have to go back to the van and try again. If you get hit too many times the game is over. The game is a lot of fun as described above by my nine year old son, who is extremely interested in science, dinosaurs, dragons, and all sorts of large creatures. He is not interested in owning a Pokemon game.
Overall gameplay is solid, though the sparring between the AI may take a little bit of learning (sometimes a little luck-based, other times more pattern-based). There are a few misnamings to some of the dinosaurs, but this is usually rare and the only actual misnaming I saw was with the Plesiosaurus (misnamed "Plateosaurus", which is a sauropodomorph dinosaur). Overall a good game for its age and simplicity.

I like this game because it was a challenge to my eight year old and kept him entertained. I have invested in so many games it is not available in my area. It was also shipped immediately which I like. I hate to wait for my merchandise because my payments go through so quickly. Thank you for not making me wait!
My grandson who is 7 is having a great time , with his game and helps him with his hand and eye control but loves the game, he has watched Jurrsack Park since he was 2 and loves the dinosaurs on the movie so this game is great for him thanks. Pat
